Looking for Reputable Online Businesses
What to Look for in Reputable Online Businesses – so you can reap the greatest benefits without wasting your time and money.
The internet is exploding with ‘business opportunities’. Accessibility, flexibility, minimized costs over physical structures….the list of attractions can go on and on.
Unfortunately, so can the opportunities for unscrupulous attempts to simply gain innocent people’s money without delivering on the promise of easy product setup and returns.
This Blog is devoted to highlighting some of the key elements to look for in a reputable online business offer:
What is the product that is offered?
- Does it line up with your goals and interests of what you want to be doing with your time? Think Values and Interests as you will need something that keeps you attracted to completing the process of setup and regular work in/with the system being offered.—It is not ALL about Money!
What can you find out about the business? Do some research….
- Length of time established
- Number of people following
- Check the comments, reviews
– but also with a lens for ‘sour grapes’, people just not putting in efforts and calling down the creator, because the customer has not put in the work.
- What do they offer you? The amount of support, Is there a help line with a designated support?
- is it a one and done payment or recurring subscription (view the terms carefully – look for ‘payment or pricing’ in the terms and conditions and at checkout,
- Look for refund policies – and ensure they are not just based on performance. You should be able to request a refund if you get into the material and realize it is poorly created, not providing what is promised, a duplicate of what you already have.
- Watch the fine print that sometimes says – only after you have applied all the steps, or hoops that are given you in the material AND then you still have not made money, will they give you a refund – etc. when essentially their product is insufficient.
Be aware of your own practices of getting into new products and projects.
Are you distracted easily by the ‘SHINY OBJECT SYNDROME’? Believe me, I know that one all too well. One of the main reasons I have been putting this site together is to SAVE YOU from repeating the errors I have made over the past several years – wasting thousands of dollars and years of time.
- To check yourself – before buying another product ask;
o Do I have any product that I have not fully set up, or returned for a refund?
o Have I done my full research on this product? – Do not get caught up in the ‘limited time only’ sales tactics. The offer will be around or back again for likely even less.
o Ensure you have the time to devote to the business. Again, what are your practices? Do you buy and then leave? (wasted money).
o Do you believe the ‘done for you’ sales – there is ALWAYS a requirement for you to put in designated time. DO NOT BUY unless you can and are committed to following the trainings and setup. And managing at least 5 - 10 hours per week of maintaining.
Finally – can you actually afford this item without putting yourself in high interest credit?
Everything check out for you as a go? And still interested in the product? So you are going ahead to purchase? Then ensure you open up the product once you have bought it, and DIVE IN. Full intent and commitment. Establish a workable schedule to complete the full program training and set up. 1 – 2 hours an evening/day as you balance with your current work demands.
10 hours spent on one project will have you accomplish far more ground than 10 hours spent on 10 projects. HAPPY BUSINESS BUILDING & GOOD LUCK!
